About Me

Hi, I’m Eric Runes. Currently, I'm a Journalism Grad Student at the University of Oregon. My passions are movies, cooking, and dogs. Also, I'm very interested in travel. My aspirations are to work to bridge the gap between Public Relations, Cinema Studies, and Journalism. Most importantly, I enjoy gaining new perspectives and sharing my interests with others.

 

Originally from Southern California, I have lived in Eugene, Oregon for over a decade now. Starting in 2019 I chose to return to school to pursue my education, open new doors and create new opportunities. Before that, I worked as a professional glassblower with a small business known as "Free Your Mind Glass." My experiences have made me fortunate enough to have lived a colorful life as an artisan and helped shape my perspectives for the past two decades.
